Md. Jahidul Islam is an accomplished academic with a robust background in Computer Science and Engineering. He holds an M.Sc. in Computer Science from Jahangirnagar University and a B.Sc. Engineering in Computer Science and Engineering from Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology (RUET), demonstrating a profound understanding of his field.

He has extensive teaching experience, having served as a lecturer at Prime University, BGMEA University of Fashion and Technology (BUFT), and later joining Chandpur Science and Technology University in April 2023. There, he worked as a Lecturer until August 2025, after which he was promoted to Assistant Professor. Alongside his teaching responsibilities, he undertook significant administrative duties, serving as the Chairman (In-Charge) of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering from December 2024 to September 2025. On 08 September 2025, he was formally appointed as the Chairman of the Department.

At present, he is the Director of the ICT Cell and a Member of both the Academic Council and the Syndicate, actively contributing to the University’s governance, academic development, and digital transformation. In his earlier service, he also held important responsibilities as the Director of the International Collaboration Cell, Assistant Proctor, and Associate Director (ETL) of the Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), reflecting his versatile engagement in academic administration, quality assurance, and student affairs.

Md. Jahidul Islam’s research interests primarily focus on Natural Language Processing (NLP), Deep Learning, and Data Science. Through both teaching and research, he strives to make meaningful contributions to his discipline. With a passion for fostering knowledge and innovation, he continues to inspire and guide the next generation of computer science professionals.
